Changing plumbing lines to another location in the home - When moving plumbing lines to another location, such as when remodeling a kitchen or bath, will require a permit. Of course, most of the tasks above will involve a professional plumber who will know which jobs require a permit. However, if you're doing a significant plumbing project yourself, chances are there will be building and safety codes that need to be adhered to, so check with your county and city to make sure you have any necessary permits.
